  1. Hailing from New Brunswick, NJ, The Gaslight Anthem return with their third album ‘American Slang’.Their style mixes elements of new wave punk with Motown influences and a splash of good ol’ rock n roll. Originating from the state that exported emotional, screamo giants Thursday, The Gaslight Anthem appear to stand right at the other end of the spectrum with their bouncy riffs and feel.

  7. Mar 16,  · I gave my German CD away when buying the MFSL. IIRC, the German CD doesn't sound good. Too much upper midrange/trebble. My wife has the Japan CD, it sounds quite good. I like it more than the MFSL. The MFSL has nice depth and detail but sometimes it sounds harsh on the vocals. Interesting that Third Stage is a DR10 album from Compared.
  8. Nov 28,  · Third Stage is a great album, but I am not really enamored with the sound of the standard MCA disc (Japanese pressing) or the MFSL gold CD. I am waiting for the original Japanese release to arrive in the mail (catalog number 32XD) and am hoping for the best there soundwise.
